Magic Wheelchair gives kids in wheelchairs an unforgettable experience by creating custom costumes for them at no expense to their families.
Our vision is to put a smile on the face of every child in a wheelchair by transforming their wheelchairs into awesomeness created by our hands and their imaginations.
How It’s Done
Kids, with their parents’ permission, submit a 1-3 minute video telling us what costume they want for Halloween, a parade, a celebration, or another event and why they should be selected for this year’s Magic Wheelchair Build. We will review the submissions and select as many children as we have volunteer builders to build. The families will then work with designers and builders to create the ultimate wheelchair costume in time for Halloween or another event!
Being in a wheelchair can be tough, so we want to help kids make something truly epic. To do that requires time, money and the support of people like you. But when the costumes are done, they will change the life of a young wheelchair rider.
