The New Mexico Technology Assistance Program offers free services to New Mexicans with disabilities to help them get the assistive technology they need.
NMTAP has been an active program under the NM Governor’s Commission on Disability since 2014 and it provides a variety of services.

New Mexico Technology Assistance Program – Programs & Services

SEED Loan Program

“SEED” stands for “Self Employment for Entrepreneurs with Disabilities”. The name clearly defines that the program is to make loans available to individuals with disabilities regardless of the type of disability, age, income level, or location of residence in the state, to purchase needed equipment and home-based business supplies.

Access Loan

Access Loan New Mexico is a statewide, low interest loan program that allows New Mexicans with disabilities to purchase assistive technology or make home modifications so that the individual can live more independently or productively.

Device Demonstrations

Demonstrations are for individuals, or a small group of individuals to assist in making an informed choice on what devices will aid in their independence in a particular area. We have equipment in a variety of categories including vision, hearing, learning disabilities, cognitive issues, speech communication, mobility, activities of daily living and computer access.
